Maria started with us in Sept 2016. She has a wealth of experience both with horses, and with supported riding. Maria trained as an instructor with PATH Intl (the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International), and worked as an Instructor, equine manager, and volunteer with Gallop NYC, a dedicated therapy organisation serving both children and adults with disabilities.
*2018 - Maria is back with us from Term 3, after being on maternity leave.
- Brigid joined us at the end of 2017. She has been working with horses for most of her life, and her many qualifications and achievements include:Helped train Police horses and riders during this time for Millennium celebrations
- General Animal Science diploma from UNITEC
- Centred RIding lvl 2
- Positive Reinforcement
- BHSAI training & exam
Laura Judd is another highly qualified equestrian and disabilities coach. Laura has a degree in psychology, has a long work history as a support worker in the health and therapeutic sector, and is training to be EAGALA certified.

Rayna Toseva - Special Olympics Coach
Rayna has been an instructor at RDA, and has a bachelors in equestrian studies.
We've been very lucky to find yet another excellent educator, trained in the USA. Joann has eleven years of experience teaching students with diverse learning profiles, and a strong knowledge of childhood development
Joann is a certified Structured Language Teacher (SLT), and has Masters of Science, Special Education from Texas A&M University, Joann is also a keen horse woman.
Inge Rickards Coach, Volunteer
Inge Rickards is one of our most reliable and hard working volunteers. Her positive attitude and boundless energy are a huge asset to the team and our clients.
Inge now also coaches on a casual basis for us.
Our Board Trustees
We have a Board of volunteers, who also perform most (if not all) our management tasks as well.
Sarah Sharp is our Board Chair, Treasurer ,and Client Program manager.
Adrienne Croad provides invaluable expertise in grants and funding for us.
Cushla Walsh is the Trust Secretary, and can often be seen volunteering with our weekly equestrian programs, or helping with farm work.
Kay Harrison E4E Founder
Kay was a volunteer with NZRDA for 3 years, and worked as a regional co-ordinator for Special Olympics New Zealand. It was through these roles that she came to the realisation that there was a significant gap in the supported riding sector.
Equestrian 4 Everyone is here to help fill that gap through years of hard work and dedication of Kay, and fellow founder Gina.
